Mundekulla EkoTornet - Glasriket

The Mundekulla EkoTornet rises 25 meters above the hill on which it is built. The panoramic view from the top allows you to see the surrounding forests as far as 5 mil away.

Here, you can stay in a double room, a triple room, or—why not—gather your family or friends to rent the entire tower together? There are a total of 8 sleeping spots here.

The dream of the tower was born as early as the 1940s, when Berndt Elmberg, the founder of Mundekulla, dreamed as a child of building a tower to see what lay beyond the forest where he grew up. Berndt began construction toward the end of his life and was able to enjoy the view before he passed away. At the turn of the year 2023/2024, we welcomed the first guests to the tower. The acclaimed Swedish architect Stig Bengtson, who specializes in the restoration of stave churches, played a crucial role in the design of this wooden masterpiece. Supported by eight pine pillars from the local forest, EkoTornet can now reveal that beyond the forest lies… more forest!

Welcome to Småland in southern Sweden and to this—without exaggeration—one-of-a-kind lodging!

Choose a room with private access to the Tree Top Lounge, or two rooms with private access to the ground-floor lounge, which features a large, fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy a drink in the Tree Top Lounge, settle in with a good book, or just relax at the very top of the tower.

Of course, everyone who rents Mundekulla EkoTornet has access to the terrace at the very top.
