Many visitors come here every year to a small area in Kronoberg and Kalmar counties in Småland—namely, the municipalities of Emmaboda, Lessebo, Nybro, and Uppvidinge. Many return time and time again. It’s easy to see why. Watching the red-hot molten glass transform into delicate crystal or sturdy bowls is a spectacle you never tire of. But even away from the heat of the glassworks, there’s plenty to experience. Here you’ll find cultural history, plenty of nature experiences, and a wide range of shopping and other activities. Why not go fishing in one of the many lakes, ride a handcar on one of the old railroads, or take a class to learn the basics of glassblowing yourself?

Destination Glasriket AB is the official company of the Glasriket municipalities responsible for marketing and development in the tourism industry.
The company is owned by the four municipalities of Emmaboda, Lessebo, Nybro, and Uppvidinge.
Communication and Marketing
The company markets and provides information about the Glasriket tourist destination. We are most active in the Swedish market. Together with Region Kalmar County and Destination Småland in Kronoberg, the company also participates in a joint effort to market ourselves to international visitors.
The company coordinates selected activities in collaboration with the industry; its role includes planning and carrying out joint marketing efforts.

AB Destination Glasriket drives the development of the region’s tourism industry.
The company initiates various initiatives that create more and better business opportunities and strengthen collaboration among the various stakeholders in the tourism ecosystem.
The company coordinates cooperation among the four municipalities on issues directly related to tourism and the region’s development. By increasing the destination’s appeal, the company helps make the area a more attractive place to live, work, and call home.
The company shall promote collaboration and cooperation regarding the region’s development together with Region Kalmar County, Destination Småland, and other destinations.
The company will focus on market monitoring and analysis, as well as project development.
The company runs projects to promote the development of the area's tourism industry. The company also participates in projects initiated by Region Kalmar County and Destination Småland in Kronoberg.
