Welcome to the Ljuder Museum and the American Room.
The museum is located next to the church in Ljuder. There are about 300 artifacts on display here.
The “America Room” is located in the parish hall (the yellow house across from the church). It features memorabilia and information about emigration to America. There is also literature about and a registry of the emigrants. Between 1852 and 1930, a total of 1,100 residents of Ljuder emigrated to the great country to the west. That represented a significant portion of the parish’s population.
