The Lessebo handmade paper mill dates back to the 17th century. It began as an ironworks and was later converted into a paper mill. There have been many mill owners, many workers, and many life stories to tell here. Long ago, this region was a border area between Denmark and Sweden. The paper mill was established after construction began on the naval town of Karlskrona following 1648. Many writers and artists have used Lessebo paper, including Vilhelm Moberg and August Strindberg, to name a few. Join us for an exciting guided tour of the old handmade paper mill.
The tour takes 45–60 minutes, depending on the group size, and includes a short video showing the manufacturing process.
