The trail starts at the Långegöl swimming area outside Målerås. The trail is 2 kilometers long and runs close to Lake Långegöl the entire way. It is an easy hike that mostly follows trails, but there are boardwalks across the wetlands.
Count the Trolls
Stop by Målerås Glasbruk and tell the staff at the shop that you want to count trolls; they’ll give you a slip of paper to take with you on the hike. Look for trolls along the trail and write down how many you’ve found. Turn in the slip of paper at Målerås Glasbruk, and you’ll receive a small glass gift.

Långegöl Swimming Area
The Långegöl swimming area is located where Trollstigen begins and ends. It’s a nice little swimming spot with a dock and changing booths. During the swimming season, there’s also a barbecue area and restroom here.
