STF Långasjö Vandrarhem - Glasriket

Långasjö Hostel opened in 1968 in the renovated church stables, which date back to the mid-1800s.

From the outside, the buildings look just as they did more than 100 years ago, when the villagers tied up their horses here while attending church services. The rooms have retained their old village names, which once indicated where the horses were to be stabled. The main building is the 60-meter-long church stable wing. It features 5 entrances, each with 2 rooms: a twin room (2 single beds) and a family room (3–5 beds). The small entryway between the rooms contains a shower and toilet. All rooms have windows facing the green space or wooded area at the back. The wing also houses a café and reception area, as well as a guest kitchen with a TV corner. Free Wi-Fi is available. There are also 2 cottages available for rent.

During peak season, a breakfast buffet is served at Café Stallet, featuring many locally sourced and organic ingredients. At our café, you can enjoy a snack in a cozy, rustic atmosphere and savor a delicious cup of coffee, tea, and more.

At the front desk, you can rent 3-speed Skeppshult bikes or borrow older Kronan bikes free of charge when you’re staying at the hostel. Långasjön is located 100 meters from the hostel, where there’s a swimming area with a dock and a raft, as well as fishing opportunities for stocked rainbow trout, perch, pike, and more. You can purchase fishing licenses at the front desk/café, and rowboats are also available to borrow. There’s also a small playground, several picnic areas, a gazebo, a birdwatching tower, and a lovely walking path around the lake (1.5 km).
