Today, the glassworks produces art and decorative glass, primarily in the form of cut, painted, and engraved pieces. The animal reliefs from Målerås are famous throughout the world. The glassworks is the only one with its own iron foundry, which allows it to create works of art that combine glass and metal. The owner and principal designer is Mats Jonasson.
At Målerås, you can try your hand at blowing your own piece of glass. It’s a memorable experience, and you’ll even get to take your creation home with you.
The exhibition hall features top-quality art glass, and in the shop you'll find beautiful crystal items at factory prices.
From the lunch restaurant and café, you can look into the smelting furnace. The mill also serves smelting furnace herring.
The glassworks building also houses the Hantverkshuset. There, local artisans sell their creations, such as ceramics, jewelry, woodwork, and food products.
