The company was founded in 1993 by Gunnel Svensson, who literally grew up surrounded by furniture, design, and quality at the nearly century-old family business Svenssons in Lammhult. Over the years, Bswedens lamps have traveled from the factory in the forests of Småland to all corners of the world, winning numerous prestigious awards along the way.
For example, a custom-made, giant version of the colorful Kumulus chandelier hangs at Harrod’s department store in London. In Sweden, the lamps can be found in both private homes and public spaces. Gunnel Svensson’s company has won both Swedish and international awards over the years, including the Svenskt Forum Award and the Elle Deco Award. The factory outlet sells seconds at bargain prices.
