In the small village of Ällebäck just outside Örsjö, you’ll find Bigård Birgitta in a building that used to serve as a variety of things, including a blacksmith’s shop, a workshop, and a weaving studio. Today, it operates as an apiary and a forest café where you can relax surrounded by greenery, borrow a game or a blanket, and enjoy the surroundings both indoors and outdoors!
The café offers a wide selection of pastries and pies made primarily with organic and locally sourced ingredients, as well as locally produced ice cream, homemade sourdough sandwiches with local toppings, and a simple lunch of the day. There are several gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegan options available, and of course, they sell the farm’s honey in a variety of forms.
Sitt inomhus i Salongen eller Gillestugan – där finns det brädspel och tidningar och kalla dagar tänder de brasan! För den som vill sitta utomhus finns trädgårdsmöbler, men det går också bra att låna en picknickfilt och leta upp en egen plats i omgivningarna när vädret tillåter.
