In my course for beginners and those returning to the art, I’ve compiled all the advice and tips I myself would have needed as a beginner in watercolor painting. Yes, exactly! No prior experience is required. I remember when I started painting with watercolors. It fit like a glove… with paint, water, and paper. It dried quickly. So much fun. Yes, perfect! But along with the painting came the questions… How do I capture the light? Where do you start painting in your scene—the background or the foreground? White? Black?
How do you think about colors? And why do the colors get muddy? Why does everything run together? And all those shades in the paint box, and the transparency of watercolors! And the water! Yeah, that could throw a wrench in the works, too.
