BIG GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION!
It’s not every week that we have a major opening ceremony in the Kingdom of Glass.
On August 24–25, Orranäs Glassworks will inaugurate its new furnace. There are plenty of exciting things to experience throughout the weekend.
Experience the newly built cabin and park, and enjoy art glass in the shop and at the Orrefors Museum.
Enjoy a delicious coffee break or—why not?—a crêpe at The Glassblower Café, and much more.

10:00 a.m. – A new installment of the popular “Sunflower Collection” is released in the shop
10:30 a.m. – Glassblowing demonstration in the glassworks with Amy Krüger – “Fish Bag”
11:30 a.m. – Henrik Sandberg discusses and signs his new book about Orrefors (in the conference room)
12:00 p.m. – Glassblowing demonstration in the glassworks with Emilia Linderholm – “Dresses and Opera Singing”
12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – The Hammarsmedjan is open
12:50 p.m. – Opening remarks from the stage
1:00 PM – Orranäs Brass Quartet with a glass trumpet and Karin Björkander Petersson on the glass glockenspiel
2:00 PM – Glassblowing demonstration in the glassworks with Susanna Arwin – “Handbag”
2:30 PM – Henrik Sandberg discusses and signs his new book about Orrefors (in the conference hall)
3:00 PM – Glass circus on stage with TRIX and OLO-company “Soft Spot” – A circus performance exploring the limits of glass
4:00 PM – Glassblowing demonstration in the glassworks with Clas Håkansson – “Art from the wine”
