Orranäs Glassworks Is Being Rebuilt

It was with great pleasure that we received the press release from the mill’s board of directors and owners on Tuesday.

The reconstruction of the Orranäs glassworks means a great deal to Glasriket as a tourist destination.
Once the glassworks is back in place, the area will be complete again. The historic Orrefors glassworks area has a glass theme, viewed from a historical perspective with the Orrefors Museum and Hammarsmedjan. But it also offers a contemporary experience, where visitors can, among other things, take a stroll through Sweden’s first phytopark.
The glassworks’ unique design aesthetic is a wonderful complement to the rest of the glass industry and a natural destination for our guests.

It’s also incredibly positive for Orrefors as a community. This initiative fosters a sense of hope for the future among residents and creates opportunities for other business owners to grow their businesses. It has instilled a sense of pride in the community.
