Vidinge Gård is a cosy, family-friendly and dog-friendly guest house located in the middle of the Kingdom of Glass in the scenic Småland, 2 km outside Älghult. Here you live out in the country, surrounded by paddocks with grazing cows, forest and dirt roads with close proximity to fishing and fine nature reserves.
At Vidinge Gård there are rooms with hotel standard with private bathroom that is made and ready. Also hostel-type or B&B rooms where three rooms share two bathrooms. Here you choose whether you want to book a bed or bring your own sheets/towels. For all rooms, it is possible to book with sheets/towels and a breakfast buffet. All rooms have access to the common kitchen for those who prefer their own cooking. On the ground floor there are two spacious apartments with its own kitchen, bathroom, living room with dining area and three separate bedrooms with space for up to 7-8 people. Perfect for the family or the small group who like to socialize but prefer their own bedrooms.
Dogs are welcome in all rooms and are welcome to play in the garden with the guest house's own dog. In the garden at the entrance to the guesthouse there is room for up to six pitches for caravan or mobile home with electricity and access to bath and kitchen in the guest house. It is also possible to park in the car park, subject to availability, without electricity and service at a reduced price. It is also excellent to rent the entire guest house, or one floor, for parties, wedding parties, family reunions, corporate events, etc.
The restaurant
The restaurant serves good and honest food, cooked from scratch, with a focus on local and self-produced food, grown on the farm or from forest, land and water. Accommodation guests can book a rich, varied breakfast and, in high season, also lunch/lunch packages and dinner, which is served in the dining room, on the outdoor terrace or in the cozy pub. In the summer, when the weather permits, there is often a barbecue with a varied selection, also open to the public. Full rights are available.
Activity
At Vidinge Gård there is also a fishing center for Strömfiske Alsterån, a 15 km long scenic stretch with uncrowded trout fishing in flowing water with a wilderness feel like in Norrland. Around Vidinge Gård there are plenty of opportunities for activities for nature lovers: fishing, cycling/hiking trails, bird tower (800m from the farm), mushroom forests and destinations for day trips. If you are looking for a quiet and pleasant holiday, you can use the large garden for sun and play, visit the bathing area in Älghult, forest bathing and stay in the peace of the forest on foot or in a hammock.
