Långasjö Vandrarhem was inaugurated in 1968 in the renovated church stables that date from the middle of the 19th century.
From the outside, the buildings look as they did more than 100 years ago, when the villagers stabled their horses here while celebrating church services. The rooms have been allowed to retain the old village names that used to indicate where the horses would stand. The main building is the 60 m long church stable long. There are 5 entrances with 2 rooms in each, a twin room (2 single beds) and a family room (3-5 beds). In the small entrance between the rooms there is a shower and toilet. All rooms have windows facing the green area/forest grove at the back. In the extension there is also a café and reception as well as a guest kitchen with a TV corner. Free Wi-Fi is available. There are also 2 cottages to rent.
During high season, a breakfast buffet is served in Café Stallet with many locally produced and organic ingredients. In our café you can have coffee in a cozy, rural atmosphere and enjoy good coffee, tea and more.
At the reception you can rent 3-speed skeppshult bikes or borrow older crown bikes free of charge when you stay at the hostel. Lake Långasjön is 100 m from the hostel where there is a swimming area with jetty and raft, fishing opportunities with implanted rainbow trout, perch, pike etc. Fishing licenses can be bought at the reception/café and rowing boats are also available to borrow. There is also a small playground, several barbecue areas, gazebo, bird tower and a nice walking path around the lake (1.5 km).
