Nybro Stora Hotellet - Glasriket

Nybro Stora Hotellet offers accommodation, conference and food and drink in two fine restaurants. The hotel is located in the middle of Småland's Kingdom of Glass, close to Växjö, Kalmar and Öland.

The hotel's common thread is classic Art Deco style, a style that dominated during the 20s and 30s. When it comes to the interior design of the hotel rooms, that style is conveyed through the period wallpapers. The interior of the rooms is later with quality furniture in solid oak. As a guest, you sleep in Swedish-made beds and desks and bedside tables are handmade by a local Småland carpenter, of course in solid oak. Here, collaboration with nearby/locally produced food suppliers is important, but also when it comes to interior design, the hotel uses companies in Nybro and the surrounding area.

The restaurant serves well-prepared food prepared to a large extent with local and locally produced products. Today's lunch is served Monday-Friday where the kitchen offers well-prepared home cooking, see the menu on the website. Our own bread and pastries are baked daily. In the evenings enjoy a meal from the a la carte menu.

In the City Hall hall on floor 1, you will find Gunnar Theander's main work, the fresco painting. The painting depicts Nybro's history from craft village to industrial city. In the painting, Nybro's famous buildings and people from the past are reproduced. The fresco painting is signed Gunnar Theander in 1968 and was inaugurated on April 11, 1969. Open viewing Fridays from 14:00 to 16:00.
