Sunday 14th July we welcome Ingegerd Petersson (INGEGERD'S CHEESECAKES) at the coffee roastery in Lenhovda. She tells us about the history of the cheesecake and we have coffee together!
The cheesecake that became the founder of the party. When there were many farms in the villages here in Småland, there were also many cows that gave milk. Sometimes there was an abundance of milk and to take advantage of the milk, cheese and cheesecake were made. I grew up on a farm in the village of Rödmossa, south of Virserum. My mother baked the most delicious cheesecakes and it was often cheesecake as dessert and always at the party.
A few years ago I started baking cheesecake, first for a wedding, and then I continued. Many people liked my cheesecakes and today I work baking and selling cheesecakes in my company "Ingegerds Ostkaka".
I tell you about the history of the cheesecake and how the cheesecake has developed into the wide variety available today. At parties on farms in the past, guests often brought a cheesecake as a treat. Back then there were no plastic bags, the lining became the packaging. I also show some lining cloths from my collection.
Welcome, and I'll tell you more about the cheesecake, my company, when I won the silver medal in the SM in Mathantverk -23 and was named the first Cheesecake Ambassador by the Friends of the Cheesecake Association last spring. Of course, we eat cheesecake and drink Ingegerd's Helgkaffe for this!
Welcome!
Ingegerd
