Glasriket Glöder 18-20 October 2024
The hot craft, the glow and the show…
Work on the 2024 Glasriket Glöder is in full swing and prepare to go on Tour i Glasriket on October 18-20.
It is so exciting when the process and the program are taking shape.
Our thinking is that "We want enhance the existing event with unique experiences towards existing and new visitor flows. We want to develop meeting places that today already have great importance for the hospitality industry towards a new and larger suit.” Destination Glasriket's role is to be a catalyst in the work. We started the work in 2023 and will continue in 2024.
Now Destination Glasriket has had a meeting with all locations and also had a working group meeting to brainstorm ideas. Some things are in process but other things are ready.
There are seven locations that have joined the 2024 event
Målerås Glasbruk, Glass Factory, Orrefors Kosta Boda, Persson & Persson, Micke Johan, Orranäs Glasbruk and Pukeberg.
Stimulating and creative work is now underway. The locations work to create unique programs with content with food & drink, unique experiences and of course a common thread with the GLOW in focus. Quality is a key word. Exciting as hell! At the beginning of August, we will start to share the content and we will then go out with SAVE THE DATE within various social media campaigns. Promotions of various kinds will then continue until October 18. On the fourth of October, you can keep your eyes open for a supplement that will be published together with Blekinge läns tidning, Smålandsposten and Barometern. The attachment is a description of the Glasriket Glöder weekend. It goes out to 85,000 households and will also be distributed digitally via link.

Friday on October 18 the SM in Glassblowing will take place in Kosta. It will be a "magnificent" event with invited glassblowers from all over Sweden. There are 12-13 people who will be able to attend, so a hot tip is that it is "first come, first served". It is not yet clear how many people will have the opportunity to visit SM. However, it is clear that it will be bookable but free entry. After the competition, Kosta will open up for an after party where you can mingle with designers. You will also be able to order food & drinks for the after party.

Saturday, October 19 visitors will be able to participate in both bookable and unbooked activities. You will have the opportunity to meet many talented designers with a leg in design and a leg in craftsmanship. Herring will be a natural feature during the day, but there will also be other exciting food experiences.
