Svartbäcksmåla - Glasriket

Just south of Nybro is Svartbäcksmåla nature reserve. The reserve is one of Sweden's largest urban recreation areas and the purpose of the reserve is to protect, benefit and strengthen the area's high natural values in combination with the area's values for recreation/outdoor life.

Exercise tracks that in the winter become fine cross-country tracks, a slalom hill that in the summer challenges hill training uphill. All year round, the open-air area Svartbäcksmåla is a popular excursion destination for those who enjoy nature - to exercise or to take a leisurely walk. The marked trails create opportunities for hiking and running in summer. In the area there is also an outdoor gym for strength training and for the children there is an awesome adventure course.

During the winter, there is an artificial snow-sprayed slalom slope with three runs, artificial snow-sprayed & tracked cross-country tracks and a large toboggan run. Heating cabin, barbecue area and possibility to rent slalom equipment. Nybro ski and Nybro slalom club run the winter activities.

Mountain bike: The area offers six mountain bike trails totaling 2.7 miles. In addition, there is a technical track, flow trail and pump track.

At the large parking lot in Svartbäcksmåla, there are also four parking spaces for mobile homes to book. All seats have access to electrical outlets. Pitch booking is done through Nybro Camping.
